In protest situations things are unpredictable and can turn ugly very quickly. At that time it’s useful to have documentation of real-time events. Gathering video clips from twitter or Facebook have helped but they’re not purpose driven.
I would like to build an app that records 3-5 seconds of video and uploads it to a secure server. It also auto tweets out a user generated hashtag (#witness) with the recording so it draws public attention.
The objective is to explore the use of pre-defined need-tags to connect to mob/protest situation service providers. For example,
